Shooting of the much awaited Malayalam cinema Twenty-20 announced by Association of Malayalam Movie Artists [AMMA] started at Abhishekam Auditorim on 07/12/07 by 9/30 A.M Veteran Malayalam actor .Madhu and Kaviyoor Ponnamma attended the first shoot. Expected to be on theatres by the middle of 2008, the film will be the biggest project ever to have realized in Malayalam.
Other film personalities who attended the shooting were Dilip, Janaardanan, Captain Raju, Kunchacko Boban, Edavela Babu, Siddique, Maniyan Pilla Raju, Cuckoo Parameswaran and Nandakumar Poduval.
Twenty Twenty which is going to take of on December 7, 9.30 A.M.
Considering the popularity of Twenty- Twenty cricket match recently held the Association of Malayalam Movie artists has named their maiden venture 'Twenty Twenty’ which is going to take of on December 7, 9.30 A.M. Expected to be completed by the second month of 2008, AMMA is planning to release the film by the 14th of March, if all are going as per schedules.
The film has got nothing to do with cricket even though the name might suggest it. But it is going to have all the thrills and frills of a Twenty20 cricket match," says Innocent. The film with almost all major stars of Malayalam cinema was in discussions for a long time, to raise funds for the association's activities.
The film will directed by Veteran Joshy in the scripts of Sibi K Thomas -Uday Krishna, the production activities of the film will be taken cared by Dileep, who will act as the executive producer for AMMA. Featuring Mammootty, Mohanlal, Dileep, Suresh Gopi and Jayaram in the lead, the film will have five heroines.

The film by AMMA, Association of Malayalam Movie Artists', is planned for a release by July. The outline of the story, penned by Uday Krishna and Sibi K. Thomas was completed.
The film will feature all the major, principal stars in the Malluwood in the lead roles. Mammootty, Mohanlal, Suresh Gopi, Jayaram and Dileep will play the lead roles. Joshiy will direct the film. The project will include all the artists who are registered with the AMMA. Dileep, himself will spend one crore for the production of the film. The film will be produced under the banner of Dileep’s Production Company. Mumbai, Calicut, Kochi, Kannur and Thiruvanathapuram are the proposed locations.
Are you thinking about the story line, which is supposed to accommodate all these big names in the same screen without doing any harm to their image? But, Sibi and Uday sought out the problem skillfully. Mammooty, Mohanlal and Suresh Gopi appears as gangsters and hooligans whereas Dileep slips into the suits of a thief and Jay aram acts as an advocate who helps Mammootty, Lal and Suresh Gopi to come out of the jail.
First step taken for ‘AMMA’s Film
In a colorful ceremony held in Hotel White Fort , in Cochin , Super star Dileep handed over a cheque of advance to Director Joshi on behalf of Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) for their first venture in Film Production. Dileep, himself will spend One crore rupees for the production of the film for AMMA. Uday Krishna-Sibi K Thomas team will pen the script. The production work will commence soon.
“After the Association’s formation many major programmes were conducted by AMMA for their fund raising. They included stage shows. After the discussion with MACTA, association was not conducting any such programmes for the last one year. And now we have come with this new venture and I hope this will be a great success. All the AMMA members were instructed to act in the film with out any remuneration.”
Association president Innocent told in the press conference.
The last executive committee meeting conducted on 18th of March this year decided to produce a Malayalam film. Actor Dileep will produce the film and the director will be Mr. Joshi. The shooting will commence in November this year. The release of the film will be by April next year. AMMA will invest an amount of Rs.1, 00,000 to meet the expenses for the education of the three daughters of Sri.MS Thrippunithura who passed away last March.
“The decision to make Mr Joshi, the director was unanimous. Because we all consider him as a Guide. Now we look forward to the whole hearted support from the media and above all, the blessings from the audience.” Dileep said.
